Are there any Wii games that function similar to Phantasy Star Online for the gamecube?

For all of you who have played Phantasy Star Online for the gamecube: are there any Wii games out now or going to come out that function similar to PSO. This meaning that four different people can play with four different characters on four different consoles, and then get together and all play multiplayer together, and then go back and play on their own different consoles?

Also, does anyone know if that is even possible on the Wii?
Thank you.

I don’t see why it wouldn’t be possible with the same save structure that PSO used, if the game reads straight from the SD card (treating the SD card like slot 2 on the cube and using the internal memory as slot 1). Reading from the SD card is done in Brawl, so it is possible. I just don’t know of any game similar to PSO for using characters from multiple systems.
