What are the best family friendly Wii games?

My family and I just got a Wii. I know nothing about the games. My husband and I have a 6 year old boy and a 3 year old boy. What games would be fun for the boys? What are some fun games for us to play as a family? What are some games my husband and I would enjoy? (the less pricey, the better)
Thanks.

I just bought my 7 year old daughter a new Wii game. It’s called Outdoor challange. She loves it. It’s really for little kids. Lots of fun games on it too. I think it has like 12 games they can play and it comes with a mat and it’s very active for them. Great exercise for them.

the wii sports that was bundled with wii is good for starters. wario shake it is colorful and has easy controls for your kids (but, wario is a theft who steals treasure…). mario kart can be a tough* racing game, but all four of you could play against each other–that’s always entertaining (but you’d have to buy additional controllers).

mario cart wii, bloom blox, blast works, i dont know if you consider super smash bros. brawl family friendly (its not violent, but it can lead to more violent games like metroid and metal gear solid). lego indiana jones, dance dance revolution, carnival games, line rider 2, and be sure to check out all of the stuff on the shop channel. just connect your wii to the internet and then download games from there. you just need a wii points card or a credit card.

We just got our first wii for christmas and I’m 15 and I have two brothers 8,10 the games that we have are…
Wii Sports-best interactive family game known to wii- about 45$ if you can get it at Sam’s
Wii Play-Really great for the kids, a few of the things you do are fishing, target practice, cow racing…-45$ usually
Mario Kart- Really fun, especially for the boys, you can even buy a wii steering wheel for 10-15$ It’s my two brothers favorite game

If you get WiiWare games (the ones you download off of the internet through the Wii) they are all pretty inexpensive (around $10).They also have it so you can get past Nintendo games (Mario I, II, III, Original Donkey Kong…)

Mario games are always kid friendly. I have an 11-year-old, and that’s what we got him.

Mario Party 8 is great for the whole family. It has mini games, and most of the games aren’t too hard to play. Also, Wii Play and Wii Music are great for kids too, plus, they’re also fun for adults to play as well. The down side is that they’re a little on the expensive side. Mario Kart Wii is awesome. It’s the #1 sold game for the Wii, and you’ll have hours of fun with it. You can play it as a family, play the computer, or even play people all over the world.

There’s also a Nerf shooting game. It’s fun, and it costs around $35-$40. I hope this helps.

If you have a game store in your mall, you can normally get used games there pretty cheap, and they’re guaranteed to work. Also, the games that are $50 in the stores you can get brand new on Ebay for about half that price. That’s one of the best routes to go.

If you see MM Cart, it’s not worth you time or money. My children, my husband, and I all hated that one.

    Ray man- Raging rabbids
(this is a very fun game which makes you do all fun and crazy stuff. your kids will love it)

Mario Kart (this is a racing game which comes with a wheel *wireless* for steering, its fun and for 4 players.)

Wii Music ( this is perfect for your kids, in this game they can play any instrument they desire, and to many tunes, for 4 people also)

    Hope I helped!
    Have fun!
And also buy wii points to buy channels (you can buy the internet channel which is using the internet in your t.v, and also buy games too!)

    =_=

Okay, to start, I have a warning -
    Do NOT,
    I repeat, DO NOT
Be tempted by ANY sort of a 2 for $20 deal you see in Wal-Mart. These games are SHOVELWARE. Awful games, made cheaply, for nothing but profit. Ugly unplayable, just avoid at all costs. Before buying, check a website called IGN.com. It offers reviews for most Wii (as well as every other console) games. The higher the score, the more they recommend it.

    Here’s my best-of list.
Super Mario Galaxy – The absolute best Wii game ever, Mario is back, and he’s in space. Amazing to look at, and even more amazing to play.
Boom Blox – The best multiplayer game on the system. Think Jenga, but taken to whole new levels. The goal is to either destroy, or protect, towers made of virtual blocks. The multiplayer is addictive offers tons of options, and it only requires ONE remote (You can still use several if you want).
Resident Evil 4 – This one’s not for the kids. AT ALL. Purely for the adults, and available at a suprisingly cheap price ($30!), this is a horror gaming CLASSIC. Frightening, and addictive.

You’ll be able to enjoy all 3 games. But yeah, keep kids away from RE4. It’s quite violent.

Games like Wii Play or Wii Sports are fun for the whole family, as well as games like Wii Music. Your best bet for the kids are games from the Mario series, such as Super Mario Galaxy or Super Paper Mario. For the parents you can always look at Wii Fit, I’ve seen lots of parents enjoy that.

I use it every-day the bad thing is you have so much selection you don’t know what to play Actually thats a good thing.
