The Nintendo Wii zapper comes with the Links training and you can get it in the region of £20. This zapper makes it so much easier to actually shoot at the target using the Wii remote and the Wii nun chuck.

Unfortunately it took a while longer but they finally released the zapper to purchase it on its own so it enables you to use the 2 player option in the Wii Links training.

This is a great game and it is definitely value for money as you get the zapper with it, it is not the best game i have played on the Wii, but it is by no way the worst game either. Its simple to use and has a variety of different levels that you can choose from and as you advance through the game you can then open new levels to play.

The wii zapper brings a whole new level to the gaming and I woud recommend that you buy it, even of you do not have the links games as this would go with any shooting games and gives you that steady hand that you need to have the perfect aim and hit those targets.

I am sure Nintendo will be manufacturing many more accessories for the Wii System but for now this is the best one!

For information of all those reading this the wii zapper light gunis available at the below web address, I am sure if you buy it you will have as much fun as I still do!

By: Stephen Piercy

About the Author:

Gaming consoles are now one of the major forms of entertainment within the modern day home. Years ago, people had to find other ways and means of entertaining themselves. Board games and skipping ropes were soon replaced by an electronic device called the ‘gaming console’. The first console to hit the market was the Magnavox Odyssey in 1972, which was designed by Ralph Baer. Although the technology back then was ground breaking, today it would be overshadowed by the processor that runs a digital watch. The console was analogue, only ran on batteries and didn’t even produced sound. It took four years to reach development and distribution from having a working prototype. The console sold quite well and it’s only demise was due to it’s own marketing.

The first wave of console systems were cartridge based, if they hadn’t already have the games built into the unit. These included a memory chip and would plug into the console. The benefit of this type of system was that the games loaded almost instantly. As technology progressed and became available, it was integrated and used for gaming consoles. One of the first systems to use CD, was the Nintendo GameCube. This killed two birds with one stone as you could also play music as well as play games. CD’s could also hold more data too which gave software developers more scope and durability whilst coding games.

As game consoles became faster, sharper, and more powerful, other elements of technology were introduced such as wireless technology. In recent years, the wireless controller was introduced which enabled you to connect and play games on a console without a cable connecting the two. One of the first ones was the Nintendo Wavebird. This was by no means the first, but was probably the first decent one. It used a radio frequency and had a range of upto 20 feet. These days, most consoles come with wireless controllers as standard, some of which utilise Bluetooth technology and have the same game play reliability as controllers that are connected with cables.

Towards the end of 2006, a new breed of gaming console was born. This didn’t match the pure power or graphics capability of the big players such as the Xbox 360, or the Playstation 3, but grabs a huge share of the market due to it’s innovation, and the way it has steered away from traditional gaming. This console was called the Nintendo Wii. It uses wireless technology to track movement of the hand controllers and uses the data to interact with the game. This change of direction has enabled Nintendo to dominate the market and achieve top sales within the industry. The console initiates a physical type of game play and is excellent for small groups of people to enjoy at the same time. It is not aimed towards the serious, hardcore gamers, and is even labelled a ‘novelty’ by some.

The Nintendo Wii has also been responsible for the largest range of aftermarket gaming accessories to hit the market. After seeing the potential that the Nintendo Wii has, many manufacturers and retailers have developed wii accessories which adds further enjoyment and realism to the game. The wii accessories include wii boxing gloves, steering wheels, sports packs with golf clubs and tennis racquets, wii guns and many other add ons. These enhance game play and help take the Nintendo Wii towards a new era in gaming.

By: Andy D Black

About the Author:

It’s hard to get hold of, it’s sells at a premium and it is a big hit for families. The Nintendo Wii Fit with the Wii balance board has become a big hit in households across the country and demand for the balance board and software has consistently outstripped supply. Nintendo Wii Fit is sold out in many stores and online retailers, and even the second-hand price has rocketed to more than it can be bought new.

So, what has the Nintendo Wii Fit got that projected it to be the must have Nintendo accessory and game? It may be a bit of a lightweight when it comes to gameplay, but it ticks all the boxes that attract new adopters, families and women to console gaming. With its ease of use, it doesn’t require hours of reading a manual to understand how the game works, you just plug it in and get moving. It is inclusive and brings the family together, up to eight players, to play and laugh, but still allows you to work out by yourself and loosen up those muscles in a fun and engaging way.

The supplied software comes with a set of fitness exercises and mini games to help you get the best out of it, so you can choose between a good work out or just a bit of fun that will still loosen you up. Nintendo Wii Fit starts off with Muscle Workouts that has fifteen different ways to workout. Tone up your body, or relax with yoga poses, or even use your Nintendo Wii Fit to correct your posture with undemanding yoga poses.

Nintendo’s Wii Fit balance games are the ideal way to get the entire family involved. Using the Wii Fit balance board you can take part in loads of fun games like skiing, tilt games, snowboarding or even learn to walks a virtual tightrope!

The Wii Fit’s aerobic function lets you complete a series of healthy and gentle exercises to get that heart pumping a bit. Anything from step aerobics to a jogging action will keep you toned up and if you are feeling particularly adventurous, try a bit of boxcercise for some pain free boxing!

Besides all the family fun, the Nintendo Wii Fit offers you a chance to discreetly keep track of your own progress. Your body mass index (BMI) is charted over time so you can see your progress, or even lack of progress, as the Nintendo Wii Fit takes account of any exercise you do away from the Wii balance board, letting you chart your exercise regime on a in-game calendar. Over time your improvement is displayed on a personal chart, giving you the confidence and encouragement to get even fitter.

With some commentators saying that the Nintendo Wii Fit is just a passing fad, well isn’t everything? But for the foreseeable future the Nintendo Wii Fit will sell and sell as families learn to play together again. So whether it’s a party, a family playing together, the children enjoying clean fun play or a personal goal to make that body fitter and suppler, the Wii Fit will be a sell out console game this Christmas. So, to make sure it is in your Christmas stocking this December reserve your Nintendo Wii Fit as soon as you can.

By: Ashley William

About the Author:

There are many gaming consoles currently available in the market. The Sony Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 are some of the more popular gaming consoles that have captured the imagination of people in different parts of the world. The Nintendo Wii is another addition to the family of video gaming consoles. However, there are some features that make the Nintendo Wii one of its kind.

Let us start from the beginning. The Nintendo Wii is the video gaming console that has been launched by Nintendo. The Nintendo Wii is extremely popular among avid gamers as well as other users having a casual interest in gaming. And one does not have to go far to search for the reasons for the same. The best part about the Nintendo Wii that is contributing to its immense popularity is its intuitive control. How is this intuitive control achieved in the Nintendo Wii and what does that mean for a common user? The answer to the first question first. The sophisticated remote of the Nintendo Wii comes with innovative motion sensors that can distinguish motion in three dimension. Now coming to second query. In the Nintendo Wii, the specific movements of a player’s body is translated directly onto the screen using Bluetooth technology. Users do not have to press buttons to make the desired moves in any particular game. This makes the game play more interesting; it can be said that the Nintendo Wii enhances the fun quotient of various games by several degrees.

One can conclude that the Nintendo Wii makes the gaming experience more passionate. Players can relate better to the developments that are taking place in the virtual world of their games. Even games with simplistic game play become quite engrossing. A person would feel that he or she is actually playing the game with others. Playing games using the Nintendo Wii is turning out to be a great way to unwind after a stressful day at work.

By: Carly Charu

About the Author:

So you have decided to purchase the hottest new thing in video gaming; the Nintendo Wii. When you purchase your Wii system you will have everything you need to plug in and start playing, including Wii Sports, a game that provides a great way to learn how to use the Wii system’s revolutionary, motion sensing, controllers. However, the Nintendo Wii does not include everything you need to maximize your gaming experience, and that is why there are several must-have Nintendo Wii accessories.

The Nintendo Wii comes with one remote controller – the Wiimote – and one Nunchuk, which is a motion sensing analog controller that attaches to the wireless Wiimote. If you want to enjoy the head-to-head action of the great games included with Wii Sports, then the first of the Nintendo Wii accessories that you should consider is an extra controller. The Wii can accommodate four controllers, so fitting a second into the system is not a problem.

The Nintendo Wii is compatible not only with games designed for the Wii, but for Nintendo GameCube titles as well. If you do not have a GameCube controller already – your existing GameCube controllers are compatible – then one of the more useful Nintendo Wii accessories is a GameCube controller. Not only will that allow you to play a wider variety of games, you can also play the classic games that are downloadable to your Wii system. However, you need more than the GameCube controller to fully replicate the features of the GameCube games. Without a GameCube memory card, your progress through many of the games will be lost each time you shut down your Wii. A GameCube memory card will allow you to save your progress and play at your leisure. Again, if you have existing GameCube memory cards they are compatible with the Wii.

Speaking of classic Nintendo games, the Wii system’s Internet capabilities make it possible to download those classic games of Nintendo’s past. Downloads are not free, however, and Wii Points are the currency of choice. Therefore, one of the more useful Nintendo Wii accessories is a prepaid Wii Points card that will allow you to easily browse and purchase many of your favorite games from all of the Nintendo predecessors. However, if you plan to purchase many of these classic games it is only a matter of time before you fill the 512mb memory of your Wii system. Purchase a 1 gigabyte SD memory card and you will have all the room you need with plenty to spare!

In order to take advantage of the game downloading abilities, as well as other aspects of the Wii system’s menu functions, you need access to the Internet. That makes the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB connector one of the most important Nintendo Wii accessories. With wireless Internet access in place, you can use your Wii to play games, surf the Web, and coming soon: head to head virtual play!

All of these Nintendo Wii accessories add up to form an impressive array of gaming and entertainment capabilities, but without a component video adapter the picture quality of the Wii might fail to reach its potential, especially if you have a High Definition television. With the adapter in place you will enjoy a crystal clear picture which will enhance your Wii – and your Nintendo Wii accessories – so much more. And one more thing: invest in some rechargeable batteries in order to keep those wireless remote controls at peak performance!

By: Michelle Bery

About the Author:

Over time, the evolution of video game accessories has taken gaming to new heights of entertainment. Nintendo’s new gaming platform is no different and is even a step ahead of its competitors in terms of accessories. You may be left wondering how Nintendo created such an innovative device. With the Nintendo Wii console, Nintendo will be able to appeal to the long time Nintendo fans as well as non gamers alike due to the fact that you can simply pick up and play it.

The Nintendo Wii has a set of accessories designed to enhance your gaming experience beyond simply pressing buttons. A few of these great accessories are as follows:

The Wiimote is a small, light, remote control device. It works wirelessly via the use of a short-range Bluetooth system. The Wiimote is motion sensitive, allowing users to interact with their games. Some games succeed with doing this in a very smooth and fluid way but other games feel kind of awkward and don’t register certain movements. This new way of gaming will open up doors for designers and give them more control of how the game is made. One “problem” with this new way of playing is the number of reports of people accidentally throwing their Wiimote while swinging. Nintendo is rectifying this by distributing free “gloves” that will give users a little more grip.

The Nunchuk is an analog controller that plugs into the Wiimote. It has an analog stick along with buttons to give the gamer even more control. It has a motion sensor as well and is used in games such as Wii Boxing, Zelda: Twilight Princess, and Red Steel.

The Nintendo Classic Controller is a more traditional controller that plugs into the Wiimote. It is mainly used to play Virtual Console games. You can also use a GameCube controller for playing Virtual Console games.

Recently, Nintendo has released information on the upcoming Wii Light gun. The light gun seems to attach to the bottom of the Wiimote to give you the feel of holding a gun. This could definitely lead to some fun games and a new way of playing.

It is no lie, the Nintendo Wii is lacking in the graphics department with games that visually look no better than games on the GameCube did. The reason they are number one right now is because of the level of innovation involved with some of these amazing games.

Only time will tell what new exciting accessories the Nintendo Wii has in store for us!

By: Nick Larso

About the Author:

Why is Nintendo’s Wii Fit so difficult to get? This shows a change in the industry trends in the recent times. Wii Fit is attractive because you have to exactly use your whole body to effectively play the game. The older games had just the consoles and the major complaint about the video games was that they affect the player’s physical health as he spends lot of time in front of the console without any body movement.

The strange thing is that when the concept of Nintendo Wii console was revealed the way the future game consoles are going to control the game with motion-based controllers, the society was stunned in disbelief and everyone though it is hard to believe that it will work It is fresh in memory as it happened yesterday. Everybody thought that Nintendo is close to death and bankruptcy. But after two years look at it now.

Entire Nintendo games are a hit especially the Wii Fit. The Wii Fit wants the movement of your entire body while the normal Wii game requires some hand movements. This is the visible example of the shift that is happening in the video game industry. Now the trend is that people want movement of the entire body when playing video games to get the actual feel of the game than just using the consoles.

Games like the bowling and tennis asks the player to have body movements with the same strength and sway as they would do if they were physically playing the game out there in the field There is nothing bad in this trend. In fact it is a big positive for the video gaming industry. For a long time the video games were looked at as having a negative impact on the teenagers and their health.

Now it involves your entire body in the game and it becomes as good as you are playing the game outdoors. There is news out there that some gym trainers are including the Wii Fits in their fitness For people who are badly in need of games the trend is not helping because it is so hard to find a game.

For the industry this is a positive sign that the games are being accepted more widely as a true form of entertainment. If you thought Nintendo Wii was just for kids, think again. We are discovering an ERA of gaming entertainment and living a healthy lifestyle.

By: Chris L.
If you’re looking for a good Nintendo Wii price, now that the Christmas rush is over you should be able to pick up some good deals on games consoles. Out of the three heavy hitters out there – the Sony PlayStation 3, the XBox 360 and the Nintendo Wii – the Nintendo Wii appears to offer by far the best value for money.

At just under $250, it is half the price of the most basic PS3 model and $150 cheaper than the XBox 360. However, to really get the most out of your Wii you will have to avail of at least some of the extra accessories on offer. Of course, you will also have to buy games, which retail around the $50 mark for more popular titles.

Extras you may want to add to the basic price include and extra controller (about $30), and extra Nunchuk Controller (about $20), extra memory (about $25) and a charging station/battery recharger for the remote controller (about $25).

As you can see, the cost of owning a Wii is more expensive than the retail price suggests. However, it is still a quality product that represents good value for money compared to its competitors.

So, before you buy your Wii try to decide what extra accessories you will need and see if you can find a package to suit you that provides good value for money. Once you know specifically what you want in your package it makes it easier to find a good price. It may be a good idea to price the accessories you need online first to get an idea of the overall cost. Then you can look for good-value packages, or you may find that it is cheaper to buy separately. As always, the advice is to shop around for the best deal.

By: Wendy Hearn

About the Author:

The Nintendo Wii is an exciting, next-generation, gaming console. Not only that, the Wii has an internet connection where gamers can play games with their friends, as well as access news and other online information. However, what really makes the Wii stand out among other game systems are its motion-sensitive controllers. The Wii Remote controller enables the user to interact with games and this makes the Wii famous for putting back fun into game play. It is simple to set up the Wii Remote and the Nunchuk joystick controller. Place the Wii sensor bar under the monitor, or TV screen, and invite some of your friends to bring around their Wii Remotes for some great interactive game time. You can even play GameCube games on the Wii as it contains ports for older controllers. Other classic games can be played on the Wii and my favorites are Zelda: Link to the Past and Gunstar Heroes. Although the game selection was a bit poor when the Nintendo Wii was first released, the selection of game titles is improving all the time.

Today, however, the biggest craze is for the Wii fitness routines. The Wii Fit’s success is the Wii Balance Board, a device that measure’s the players center of gravity and weight. The player is also able to keep an activities log and keep track of how fit they are becoming. Simple exercises include push-ups and even yoga. Wii Fit games are becoming more advanced and this has resulted in the Wii Fit becoming the gaming rage all over the world. We Ski is one such game where players can stand on the Wii Balance Board and, by shifting their weight, they are able to ski down the virtual slopes. Wanting more action, then attach the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controller and you will be slaloming down the virtual slopes with your friends beside you.

By: David McKellar

About the Author:
